To quickly capture your computer screen, use the following specific keyboard shortcuts for Windows and Mac:
On Windows:
Full screen capture: Press Windows Key + Print Screen (PrtScn). The screen will dim for a second, and the image will be automatically saved in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.
Capture a specific area (Snipping Tool): Press Windows Key + Shift + S. Your screen will dim, and your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture. The image is copied to your clipboard, and a notification will appear allowing you to edit or save it.
On Mac:
Capture the entire screen: Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3. You will hear a camera shutter sound, and a thumbnail will appear in the corner of your screen. The file is saved to your Desktop by default.
Capture a selected area: Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4. Your pointer will change to a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture. When you release the mouse button, the screenshot will be saved to your Desktop.
To paste your screenshot into the Chat Box, simply click on the chat conversation and press Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac).
Ninja Pro Tip: If you are on Windows 11 or later, pressing just the Print Screen (PrtScn) key by itself often opens the Snipping Tool automatically, making it even easier to capture exactly what you need!
